Thanks Stefan for dropping by, and thanks for your comment. Yes indeed they use reed for roofmaterial, but it's used al over the country, but maybe a little more in the north. I don't know what caused these patterns, maybe mowing. This is an protected area, mainly for birds, it's not allowed to go in there.

What a wonderful image. I like especially the colours and the tones of the reed. Isn't that the material they make roofing in the north of? What caused the patterns in the back?

I think you're right with the dark spot (some bushes), maybe it had been better to take this one with that part al little bit more out of the center.

I really like the soft tones, and the way the composition includes that pattern that leads your eye to the back, and again across the foreground. The only thing I'm wanting is for the dark spot at the back to be a little more to the right, just a bit further away from the center. Nice shot.
