Klaas: I absolutely adore this shot. Great capture of the scene which, while not necessarily rich in color does carry with it a rich tapestry of emotion. One could almost feel the wind and smell the sea . . . hear the peals of the gulls and feel the moisture in the air. Very Well Done!!

Hello Meldijana, thanks for your complimenting comment on this photo. It is indeed colder in our country now too. The difference between last week and this one is about 9 degrees, it's 14 today, and last week we had some days almost 25 degrees, a big difference. A nice evening to you too, and take care my friend,
Klaas

Beautiful composition and very nice tones..it seems the weather has changed there as well as here as it rained in the morning and it turned quite cold and the sky here is almost of the same colour.."typical" for May..but of course we cant expect sunshine every day.. Very nice and realistic image,Klaas. Have a nice evening Meldijana

Thanks Nil, I'm happy to see that you like this one, I sure do myself. I like all types of weather, some peaople only say; aah it's bad weather, like to have more sun, I do not agree, these windy days with lots of clouds are also wonderful, every type of weather has it own charme. Thanks for your complimenting comment, take care,

Hi Mary, good to hear from you, thanks for your comment. I'm glad you still like this frame, I think you get never bored by a frame like this, it suits almost every photo, never overdone like sometimes the fat and coloured one's could be. It's good to hear that you use it in your family album. I only have our photo's on the computer since we have a digital camera, to print it all would be to expensive, because I make hundreds of them. 3 weeks holiday for excample maybe 800. But I think it's nice to have a real album too. Take care,
Klaas

Thanks Laura, it looks like a desolate scene, but everywere they were kiting, walking, dogwalking, sitting behind screens and so on. I took this one over their heads so it looks excactly how it was meant. I hope you still liked it, but I think you do, because it made you think about a poem. Take care Laura, regards,
Klaas

I'm glad you liked it Hugo, and yes, it's indeed beyond our control, but be happy it is, it would probably be a big mess when everybody had influence on the weather.
It was a wonderful day, 4 to 5 hours no raindrop at all, and sometimes sun.
Have a great weekend,
Klaas

Klaas, this is a classic to me. I love the sea. To catch the waves and the green on the sand dunes. The proportions so effective. That sky is stunning. All so natural and full of life- I can feel it! And the frame really suits this and sets it off beautifully. PS I have used that frame on many pictures it suits in the family album now!

Makes me think of the poem, "...they go down to the sea in ships..." This is a very desolate scene, signifies the loneliness of the sea IMO.

Yeah, I sure like it. The not so typical dutch spring weather these days is not quite what I'd hoped for, but that's beyond our control, I guess.
Good shot, it shows the unpleasant weather and the gale force winds of the last few days...
Cheers,
Hugo
