About After a stimulating and enjoyable Bible study, what better way to relax than to fiddle around in Photoshop.

I took these wonderful organ pipes at the little church in Gittisham this afternoon and, (encouraged by generous comments from the likes of Keith Naylor and other UF friends), I decided to risk another play on words.

For those whose first language is something other than English: when we want the kids to be quiet, we might well tell them to 'pipe down a little'. It's a colloquial expression that means 'be quiet'!!

This is my way of portraying 'pipe, down a little'. Geddit?! Are you beginning to see how my mind works? Scary, isn't it?!!

Thanks for bearing with me and helping me stay close to the photographic straight and narrow!! :-)

Best regards to all,

Chris.

P.S. The bird was a figment of my overactive imagination ~ but, if YOU see it too?!!

I love the lighting on this..looks like the pipes are nearly glowing. I don't know how much was captured in the camera and how much you accomplished in PS, but it really doesn't matter.

Your caption is humorous. I want to suggest you try this as a straight photo without the caption. It has a stained glass quality that is also nearly abstract. The caption is fun, but this is one of those photos that can elevate the viewer's experience on its own merits.

Really beautiful!

Awesome blues! It must be a beautiful organ - where's the image of the entire organ? Surely you took one? :-)
What bird Chris? - you have me squinting trying to see it!

Now for the image, LOVE IT!!

Sorry to mislead you, Keith, but I was talking about the bird in the sunset shot!! The one before this one!!
Kind regards, Chris

Took me a while, but I think I found the bird. I reckon my monitor is set a bit dark, I had to blow you image up to 600% to pick him out.

The bird could become your signature, just like the mouse of Robert Thompson ;-)

Anyway a very very nice image, it feels a little more serious than the others in the series, but fits in well.

Whats next I wonder ....

...and I might add that those are, without question, the most colorful pipe organs that I have ever seen.

Good macro work Chris, these could be the most colorful/designer organ pipes I have seen!
