Yikes.. I'm answering a question from back in April that I did not see nor answer. I didn't burn the sky, and have just now started trying to do that on PS Elements ( so far without much success) I used a red 25a filter here to bring out the clouds and darken the sky. This was scanned from the print itself, I think.

Beautiful b&w... great lines, with a good perspective given by the trees. Maybe I'd try to "clone out" a few small white "dots" on the sky... but it is beautiful as it is. Congrats, Alex

This is outstanding, Rebecca! The perfect symmetry of the diminishing line of trees being broken by the one different one toward the back felt a little off at first, but in the end it does add some tension, forcing the eye to keep travelling down the line of trees. I love the blackness of the road - like true 'negative space'! Only the three white specks in the sky are a little distracting to me... Really excellent shot!

Like the dramatic effect of the black street vs the bright clouds and the calm, unexcited curves as another level of contrast. Great Story. Best regards Jorg

This shot is very good. It is gloomy but happy at the same time. Good usage of the red filter, they are hard to get the hang of but you have done it greatly. I like this shot a lot. Congrats on a well deserved "photographer of the day"...
