About Exhibition at City Cemetary displaying how the African Culture was retained by slaves during the civil war. The headboard signifies " Rest in Peace". Pottery and dishes were broken on the grave to release the spirit.

Great shot. There is a cemetary here in WA that had some similar stuff going on. There was a coal mine in the area and lots of immigrants worked the mines. Each has a different cemetary. Each cemetary is different and each group treated the graves differently. It's fun to wander and look. Recently the African-American cemetary was cleaned up and restored. Good shot...and good luck the the bike purchase...:)

Hi rebecca I am not sure if this comes of as an image to show a 'Slave grave'..it sort of looks like a rubbish sculpture. I have friend who makes a lot of money from rubbish art...rog
