Very nice picture; particularly the choice of subject/location. It is working well in monochrome. It would be nice to see a different composition taken from an angle where the rows of stones runs diagonally instead of across. Nice job. / suvro@suvro.com

Sid,

I saw a documentary on WWII in Singapore. The British were well prepared to fight the Japanes, all cannons were heading the sea. Arthur Ernest Percival was in charge and had a reputation. But Yasumoto was a smart fox and landed in Malaysia with tanks. Thus he marched in his troops to Singapore in 3 days. The brits had no tanks, no airplanes, they had left their weak point open.

The troops of Yasumoto won quickly and Percival had to capitulate. 120.000 men british troops, they did not know they would go to build the bridge over the river Kwai ....
