Fabulous semi-abstract landscape - tranquility on a vast scale. I do wonder if a slight increase in contrast and brightness would bring out the successive horizons and luminous haze even more?
Best wishes, Jonathan

Tranquil, moody and mystical. A very appealing photo, with a superb feel of distance and depth, the tonal range and differences are superbly handled, and the composition, with credit to the little island, is nicely balanced. Impressive shot.
Cheers,
Hugo

That is just gorgeous. Is this early morning? The only thing I would change is the frame, maybe pick a dark blue from the image instead?

Stunning photo. The mountains in the BG form such beautiful soft shapes and the sense of quiet isolation is unreal. I really love it!

Oops, thankyou for pointing that goof out, Kim. I fixed it.
The grain is film grain, and maybe a little from my scanner (Minolta 5400). I might try a different pixel polish scan to see if it helps. However the grain doesn't really bother me, and I can't say I noticed it before you did. Thanks for looking.

I had to look up where Glacier National Park was, as your description says Canada, Montana... got me confused! *grin* From the website I found it looks like you were an amazingly beautiful place... and your image really captures a beautiful sense of peacefulness. My idea of a perfect holiday... wonderful scenery and not too many tourists! I like the way the mountains in the background have such soft layers of colour as well...
There seems to be a little bit of grain in this image... or maybe it isn't grain, but just a tad unsharp. Could be in the scanning for the web... since getting my hands on the Photo club scanner I've noticed it's made an unbelievable difference in the sharpness of my uploads... anyways, I hope this slide is tack sharp, as it's stunning.
