Thankyou, Alisa and Nan. I have just posted another view of this, at 50 mm from about the same spot (#9573). I agree, it doesn't quite have the color to jump out at you as much as I would have liked. The thought of an enhancing filter is a good one. My enhancing filter gives an artificial look, but here it may have worked well. I tried to boost that rust color a little on my computer, and it seems to look better. The colors this far north are subtle, and although they don't stand out very well on the computer screen, they are accurate. This was taken 60 minutes after sunrise, and the shadows don't get much longer than this. It was very cold.
