About
This one is dedicated to all those, past and present, who have been touched by the misery of war.
The above memorial is at Flodden, on the English-Scottish border, where in 1513, the invading scots were heavily defeated, and there king, James IV, was killed.

Thank you, warren. I appreciate your remarks. I wanted to use an unusual angle for the memorial. With the sun setting, this photo was just crying out to be taken!
Just looked at you portfolio, Warren, and it's excellent. There should be more comments on it.
Never been there marra , but its always somewhere to go in the future as me and my cousin keith saint have covered everything here on the coast , been to blyth today got some canny photos .. cheers .. marky .
Have you been there, Marky? It's an especially, tranquil and thought-provoking hill. In the quiet atmosphere of this memorial, you can think about what occurred here, five centuries back.
A very strong emotive image colin and I am pleased to hear your renewd vision allows you to appreciate the things some of us take for granted. I obviously live not too far from you. I am in Haltwhistle just up the A69.
