About Title translates to - The magic soul of Liguria.
To me, this image has all the elements, and colours, I love about the Italian Riviera.

Taken from my hotel room in Diano Marina.

The camera was a pre-digital, little fixed focus, 35mm.

I will be going back to this area next week!

Aha! So Japan isn't the only place with pink skies... Lovely colours and a great sense of depth thanks to that great palm tree on the left.

The noise wasn't too bad, Markus. But if you closed the window - the heat!

Thanks a lot for commenting, Markus. I'm glad you liked it, as it was a little fixed focus 35mm compact, which I've found are sometimes better for landscape, than the complex digicams, where the focus often fails!

Viel Dank wieder, Markus.

Very good impression of this wonderful country, Colin. I hope the view compensated for the train noise you had to suffer.

Best regards, Markus

Nice composition, Colin! I like the way you've framed the left edge with the palm tree.

Have a stella for me, Howard! And I'll have one for you in Nice, on tuesday!

You say it would make a good watercolour, I have created one last year, a crop, with cross-hatch brush strokes, (worth printing and framing IMHO)so I may submit that one, if I have the courage, in future.

I appreciate your comments as always Howard.

Colin

ps will visit you next year, hopefully.

To answer your question Barbara, yes they do use the railway here, all the time, it's the mainline from Nice, on the french riviera, to Livorno in Italy. In fact I've been on it, to the famous, 'leaning tower' of Pisa!

This is one of my personal, all time favourite, photos - even though it was taken on a little, fixed-focus compact!

Thank you very much for commenting, Barbara.

Regards

Colin

This is quite lovely I like the flowers in the for ground, and can see the depth in the picture, looks like a green house and then a houseing addion, great detail and clarity, and a railroad track, do they still use this track.
