About This if for Marky Evans (the lager-drenched, head-banging, rock singer) and his cousin, Keith Saint. Both superb, landscape photographers.

I've personally renamed the cheviot, seen here, last monday, to; Mount Saint-Evans, for the lads' services to the Northumberland (and Geordieland) tourist Board!

This tribute's up to your pics, lads, but I dont have a posh, DSLR!

Fantastic scene with wonderful colours but what makes it work is that incredible cloud formation hanging low over the scape.

It was an interesting day, Dave, for photography. The cheviots are like that, with the strong, August light, bringing out the colours, and the low cloudbase, adding interest. Five minutes after I took this, the sun broke though, and the rest of the day was hot, and blue-sky sunny!

You don't need a posh camera Colin. You produce fabulous work as it is. This is a fine example. It has a nood of calmness about it. I can just feel the breeze blowing across my face. Great colours and saturation. Also a fine tribute to two terrific guys.
Thanks so much for your recent comments.

Thank you, Timur. This was a quick snap I took, on a walk near my house. I dedicated this to two UF photographers, who live near me.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Colin
Northumberland is a really easy place to get great shots. Not enough people realise the beauty on the door step here.
I'm pleased you do

It's great to be able to see each other's countries, and continents, Tracey. There is always something to snap! As photographers, we'll usually see things, others can't (or won't).

Very good of you to comment, thank you.

Thank you very much, Colin! I really appreciate the information you have given me. The colours are, indeed, very much A95-like :-) Thank you very much for your kind comment, too. Looking forward to your next photos,
Best regards,
Denitsa

The fore and the background works perfectly in enhancing this landscape, the low clouds add an extra touch, superb composition. Saeed

Thanks for putting me on your friend's, Denitsa!

The settings you requested were:
Landscape, vivid, evaluative(metering), -2/3 EV (to enhance the cloud contrast) and 1/320s at f5.6 (this last, was selected by the camera).

Hope that helps.

It's a good little point and shoot, with some overrides. Get some great photos, Denitsa!

A wonderful landscape! I love the colours! Could you please tell me, what was the metering mode, or is there any additional Photoshop manipulation? (Since I shoot with the same camera, it really matters for me :))
