Michael, I love the composition but agree with Maggie's comments about the light conditions and the close cropping, but the details are potentially great in this photo.

Looks a little soft...But you know what? For some reason I always love lighting like this. It seems flat but it always seems calming to me and the colors when lighting like this is done to me just seem really natural. I'm odd? Oh well just works for me time and time again when I see something like this.

Maggie, The lighting was horrible yesterday. I will have to go back and re shoot this one.

The reason I cropped the top of the door was due to to love overhang, I will have to try to get a lower angle picture to capture some of the wood over the door.

Thank you both for your comments!

The upside down horseshoe gives it a creepy feeling but a very good shot.

Again...something different than your usual. I like the subject matter here Michael but the lighting seems a little flat and therefore you arent getting the texture of the wood or rocks on the ground or is it just because the image is soft. Sometimes they dont look as sharp in here as the actual image is.

Is there some reason you cropped the top of the doorway so close....I would like to see the full frame and a bit above.
I'm just happy to see you experimenting with different subject matter....*smile*...Maggie
