Hi Michael, I've seen your other work and like it very much. I like the concept here a lot too. Great idea. The placement of the ceramic sunflower is good. I don't mind the centeredness at all. You could have placed it in the frame many different ways but this works. It's all about balance anyway. My only negative comments center on tone and debris. I would like the subject cleaned up a bit. There are a lot of small pieces of debris cluttering up the sunflower. And some of the gravel could have been removed or rearranged. The other comment is about the contrast and saturation here. It seems flat and too low in cotrast. I like color. Bold color. Here too bold a color would not go but the saturation of the brown leaves could have been better. You might have wetted them thereby bring them more life. And the sunflower could use more color. The lack of color could be from the fact that this image is reralyy blue saturated. From the skylight probably. But it has a lot of blue in it and blue cuts contrast and color saturation. But the idea is really nice. james

Hi Michael....I love this shot!! Some may say you shouldnt have centered the flower but I think it works perfect. Did you set this up or is this how you found it?? You didnt write anything about the image.

I wouldnt change anything...other than maybe replacing that one leaf thats lying on the center of the sunflower with a nicer looking one *smile* This is much different than your other work. Its good to experiment..you may have just found a new style!! *smile*....Maggie
