On every island we went, we took a tour inside to look around. Usualy the your was in the bus stoping one or twice on a place already chosen by the driver. I snap many shots from the car but few came out right. This is one that did so, well more or less. Going down a hill I like how the road look so I waisted no time. As you can see this islands are mostly dry and many have no rivers or potable water. They disalinate sea water for normal use and save the precious rain water to drink. I set the camera on shuter priority to a 1/500. Please tell me what you think of it.
Hi Raamses, it is always difficult to create a good composition from a moving car, and although there are a number of good things in this shot, I think taking the time to get out of the car and compose this shot a bit more careful would've created a better image (but a different one)
I like the touch of the windscreen wipers, but IMHO, the composition would've been stronger without them.
Getting out of the car also would've eliminated the specks on the window and the reflection, now slightly visible. The dry land, and the brown tones together with the bright light make it a difficult shot, though.
The winding road is well captured, and I like the vilage in the background. The gas station on the left is a bit redundant IMHO. As the poles of the fence run trough it, it makes the image a bit cluttered.
