About This is a convent near the Old San Juan viewed from the 11 deck of the ship. we had to wait about 2 hours until we could get to ours cabins and "make it at home". I was siting then look up and fund this in front of me. I just counldn't resist. The actual exposure is 1/350 and f9.5 I could have crop the top squares, but I think it needed it to show how tall is the ship.

Please tell me what you think of it.

Hi Tom,

The trick if you can call it this way is that the habour where the ship docks is very narrow compared to the rest of the bay. It is like a water arm that reaches in. If you had look out the window you would see water, land and water and if you look back you would see land.

Thanks for your coments, I pareciate very, ver much.

Raamses.

Ps. I see you have been here, so you know how cool is here, with the exception of the huricanes.

raamses, this is gorgeous! the view is interesting, it's shot from a ship but you can see land between you and the sea! very neat effect from sitting in the harbor. at first i thought it was a hotel window ;^) i like the full window but i can see the others' point. it does leave a bit too much empty blue on top. maybe shooting this from a higher position, looking down a bit, would've allowed you to keep the whole window and fill it a bit more.

in any case, this makes me miss home. what i wouldn't give for some arroz con habichuela y tostones. a presidente wouldn't hurt either. very well captured, great exposure and dof. wonderful photo!! now i'm wondering where you're headed ;^)

take care,
tom

btw, i forgot to mention in my previous comment: thank you so much for your comments on my photos. glad you enjoyed them. waiting to see how your trip goes. i need a change of scenery from the desert ;^)

Hi Raamses, I like the very wide DOF and the framing of the photo into several rectangular ones.... Very original, and a beautiful cityscape! I'm looking foreward to what's to come!

Cheers,

Hugo
