Dear Hugo,
thanks for the in-depth-analysis. you mentioned the tilt, and there is for sure more geometrical/perspective potential in that subject. unfortunately, the street around crysler doesn't allow you a lot of variations. it's the best to shoot crysler from a point above the street level. but I didn't find any appropriate at that time ;-)

Hi Thilo, I'll never get bored with this kind of shots. They always present the viwer with something interesting. There are primarily three things that make this shot different from the others:
The deliberate tilt in the image The filled composition The tone, with the halo behind the Crysler building.
The Duotone image creates a rather dated atmosphere, whereas the tilt and the quite filled composition emphasise the height of the image, and the perspective.
I like the angle of view on the building too, but that could've been a tad stronger f you'd moved more to the right.
Other than that a fine shot, well captured, and very good postprocessing.

ist doch mal wieder sehr gelungen das, und fast könnte man eine gewisse symbolik bezüglich chrysler in die schräge des gebäudes interpretieren....

hi, love the vintage bronze-like toning which works well for this art deco style bldg...perspective with the tilt is interesting,too..the bright illumination at the top works for this image..sky grain suits the image..perfect contrast throughout!..regards,gayle
