I've tried this one several times and it never comes out this perfect. Excellent balance, light and color, and the mirror image adds more interest. Very nice work Beverly.

Excellent, Bev. Wow, was I surprised when I saw this. Makes me want to paint! Where do you find pears that are not dinged up!

Pears!! You did a great job controlling the light on these two pears, I'll bet having one dark and one light subject was a challenge. The fruit looks fresh and delicious, you nailed the lighting! As always, a great image!

Isn't that two pairs of pears? What are these setting on, I love the reflection. I think the lighting could be a little softer or a little warmer to add that "old world", painted, still life effect.

How delicious. I had a red pear after dinner tonight and I can feel the taste in your photograph. A variation of this composition might be interesting. Now, there is symmetry along the horizontal axis. I wonder how the composition will look with a higher camera angle to shorten the reflection. The light source reflecting on the red pear could be more diffuse.
As I said before, delicious.

a simple, sweet composition - and the reflections are excellent - the small bright spot on the left is a distraction - I wonder how this might look with just a slight spray of water - personal preference only
