Thanks for the encouraging words Mary. When you live in a place you can sometimes get a bit blase about it but when you set out specifically to take photos it is amazing just what beauty you can find.

This is a wonderful night scene. The reflections and details are lovley on their own but your addition of the gorgeous plants in the foreground adds so much to your composition and sets it apart from the usual city night shot. The Moon is one of my favourite objects to observe. For me, it always is a great element in a picture. Mary

Thanks for the comment Harry, I think it must have been the atmospheric conditions, the moon looked huge that night.

A beautiful night shot of Brissy. Great control over your lighting here and the effect you achieved with the flowers is super. I used to drive there for work every day from the Gold Coast when I worked in tourism. Still have a home on the GC. I get homesick when I see images of home. A gorgeous image of Brisbane by night.
Thank you also for your comment on my Pom Pom Trees.
Cheers - Ann :)

Thanks Micky, yes plenty of energy, I took 1/2 hour longer than the ones I was with because I was stopping to take photos along the way and they weren't.

Thanks Roberto, I brightened it a little in PS after masking off the moon and some of the brighter lights but the bouganvillea were out of the light so they were only lit by the flash and didn't affect the rest of the shot.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting Jacques. This was at the end of a 10km 'Moonwalk' along the river banks in aid of Multiple Sclerosis.

Thanks Marco, the flowers are bouganvillea that are grown along the river bank. I used the flash for them with the 5 second exposure for the city lights.
