I do like the B&W actually. I will post it this evening to see what you and everyone thinks. I think it is more powerful. Thanks!!!

Just a thought that comes into my mind. Is it more powerful in B/W? (With the clouds on the background... I wonder if it makes the picture more "dramatic")

Excellent capture Rob!!! I asume it's the "Iwo Jima Memorial" statue? Never seen it pictured like this before! But I really like it!

go robbie, you are really excelling here...when you shoot something you are passionate about it really shine's through.

I like that your eye is lead from their dark gloomy faces to hands then to the brightly contrasting flag representing the resulting prosperity.

"I liked the composition and of the fund. I missed of light in the faces of the two soldiers who are in front. A flesh frontal or lateral would be a good option....."

Excellent image Rod. I think this photo would really lose alot if it had been done in B & W. The color of the blue sky and clouds adds so much to the overall photo. It's almost as if the photo is saying the light at the end is worth the battle of war to be able to have our freedoms. I agree with the others - the small portion of the flag is perfect.

Yeah, the touch of the flag is great in this. Wouldn't be quite as dramatic in b/w IMO. But then it would be fun to see. :) The sky is really pretty behind the color of the statue.

Thanks Jason! I have a B&W that I really like of this one, but I wanted to see what everyone thought of the color one first. :)

Very wild photo, wish you could have gotten a little lighter on the face, but thats insane to look at, beautiful sky and that dude/statue coming right out of the photo at you, and he keeps staring at me.
