Hi Ron...not a stupid question at all; a remote control. Without it the picture will be very difficult to capture. Even then...you have to make sure that you capture the eyes in focus otherwise the shot just won't work; unless you really intend to have it out of focus/blurred like when using a lens baby or something like that. :) Hope this helps...

Stupid question time. I tried some selfs yesterday, tripod, studio light and used a hat for focus. I used a very low F Number for narrow dof but my focusing hat was off and produced many oof shots. How did you focus so well for this really narrow dof? Did somebody sit in for you. We don't realize how difficult this is. Thanks for your response, Ron.
