Robert, when you have a broad landscape like this, without much detail in it, it helps to have something in the foreground to anchor attention and add a sense of depth. That's why you often see a tree on the left with branches arching over the top, to sort of frame the picture. Alternatively (and this is something I tend to do) you can emphasize the horizontal lines by cropping back to a panorama format, say 2.5:1. If you leave all the foreground in, the detail on the nearer rows of plants will be emphasize, and the trees on the horizon will look more important with less sky over them. Leave a bit of blue in, though.
