Jorg, thank you for the comment. At first I composed this fotograph differently (without the shadow of the dunes behind me) but as I was waiting for the perfect afternoon light I decided to include the shadow that was slowly forming. I felt that it 'grounded' the dunes that were in full sunlight. Without the shadow the dunes in full sunlight felt as if they were floating in the frame. I chose to ground the dunes and I feel this helps create a more stable and balanced composition. Thank you again.

Dramatic B&W landscape. Like those beautiful lines. I would have preferred the shade in the front to be integrated differently, with less of a "blocking" quality, more running into the picture, but great shot anyway. Best regards, Jorg
