So the Digilux actually has some response left in the infra-red region? That's surprising... I thought that most digital IR pictures were simply faked digitally to look "something like." This one is a fascinating image! The panorama crop suits the subject well, but I agree with those who felt the contrast could well have been higher.

10 second exposure? Wow! Rock steady tripod with no wind eh? I have to agree with don?s post, maybe it?s just my screen or maybe it?s just because I?m a huge fan of hard contrast, but I?d bump it up a few notches. As far as the composure, well, infared suits a place called Death Valley, you got some nice foliage and shadows in there. The crop works well for the subject. ~Mike

You may be right Don. The originals are woefully low in contrast so its largely a case of "tweak to taste" Your adjustment may be better, I'll sleep on it. Thanks for the thought. - John

A beautiful area John, a lovely scene with great light. I do feel that it is a little flat. I have added about 29 contrast. See what you think. I always have to add a lot of contrast to my IR pictures. Don.
