Hugo - I see your point of how the tighter crop is more intense but I feel the need to retain the red of her uniform. The the red cord tells us she is really in a uniform and that helps the story a bit IMHO. The event was not a parade but a series of presentations in a large parking lot at the Raytheon Corp. These images were from static inspections although marching was done later. - JB

Hi John, The expression of the drill inspector's face is superb. Mean and beady eyes. Great capture! I like the depth of field, looks like a parade (and your comment suggests that too) I think the intimidating atmosphere can be slightly more emphasised by cropping this image a bit. See attached file. (I noticed the red rope (any other word for it?) on the right, it is a bit distracting) What do you think?
