Thanks for posting the color (colour?) version of this photograph. I enjoy seeing the two for comparison. The BW I think is more dramatic and plays well with stark and harsh shapes. This one reads a little warmer with the yellow grass, but that sky and dark tones make it still seem pretty harsh.

while the previous shot does seem to be oozing with mood a bit more than this shot, i prefer this one. the colors are so beautiful and natural, it gives me the sensation of being there. this is such a beautiful place-how great it must be to live there. wonderful work John! todd thanks for your recent comment on my 'i've seen the demons' shot.

Another stunner! just love the glancing light on the hillside....great composition...the eye goes straight thru the two forground rocks to the small one receding into the background. Regards Micky
