Where are all the lovely pinks??? I think your camera's chip doesn't go deep enough in the red part of the spectrum, or has an IR filter on it, to pick up all the expanse of the Orion Nebula.
NIGEL, THANKS FOR THE TIP, I AM NEW AT ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY. I WILL PUT WHAT YOU SAID TO USE THE NEXT TIME WE HAVE SKYS CLEAR ENOUGH TO SEE THE STARS AND PLANETS. I HAVE A CELESTRON 8" I SAW YOUR SITE AND YOU HAVE SOME GREAT PICTURES. THANKS--SONNY
Nice one Sonny, I wonder what scope you used as the Trapezium is very well separated. Looks like you might be stretching the limits of the Olympus due to the amount of noise and one or two hot pixels. One thing you could try is a number of shorter exposures and then stacking them into one. The contrast of the sky is excellent, velvet black, very nice indeed.
