Thankyou for your advice very much appreciated..that was one of my very first shots with digital and still learning..have moved to SLR and enjoying heaps.. more comments would be welcomed.cheers.. Martin

A cracking shot. Love the warm colour cast. At first glance I questioned using the knight as the focal point, but it seems to work. Slight niggles: the verticals are slightly off, making the king look a bit drunk, and the pieces are a bit cramped into the centre of the frame. The space either side of the pieces don't really add anything, so you could have used the full frame more effectively by shooting at more of an angle. Highlights are slightly blown out. I'm guessing you've since upgraded to a Digital SLR. Good! Use this and underexpose if necessary to avoid losing the highlights, then lift the brightness back up with curves in photoshop. (Best to shoot in RAW format if you do this!!)

Un classico ma sempre molto bello.
Forse avrei messo a fuoco il primo piano ...
Mi distraggono un po' i pezzi in primo piano sfocati ..
Cmq molto bella come foto ..!
