Amanda, I saw the photo on the home page and the comments from the guys can't really be added to so thought I'd have a look in here.
First of all you comment that it's just a simple picture, nothing special, well I think it's simplicity which often makes the most special pictures. This one has an indefineable quality and can almost be whatever you want but it looks to me as if the trees are standing hands on hips arguing with each other! You saw something here other than any old trees and it comes across.
The only problems are associated with quality of the scan and you will improve that dramatically as you get practice. I'm delighted to see you're using film and I think you will learn more this way even if you eventually move to digital.
The AE1 will also allow you to make and learn from mistakes. Try to do as much as possible in manual.
Anyway, regardless of the camera or medium you must first have the eye, and this picture shows you have the ability to spot and capture something remarkable in a scene others would not notice. Good luck and enjoy it, it will be a lifelong passion. Ian

I likes this picture :). Hehe, I like all of the pictures you have. Can't wait to see pictures for this summer, and you better be rolling them out all the time. You need to practice with that new lense. I love you, bye mandy.

Hey, I know you! Mreh! (You don't know me, but hi Ian!!) I know that I'm a little weird. I can't help it. Amanda, you really do have talent, and don't ever think that anything you do is stupid(and it's not Bull!).
