About	Some simple sailboats. This is actually a color photo converted to grayscale in Photoshop, to give it more dramatic appeal. Shot with exposure compenstation set to -.5 in addition the the B+W Circular Polarizer to give more tone and defintion to the clouds. Nikon N80 (Aperture Priority Mode) Nikkor 24-120 AF-S VR Fuji Velvia 100F (converted to grayscale) Shutter: 1/20; Aperture: f/22 Exposure Compensation: -.5 Filter: B+W Circular Polarizer Shot handheld with VR turnd on. Sorry for scan quality (old scanner) but I tried. -- Rod :)

The B&W treatment was a good choice. The sky is great. You could have taken advantage of that sky, forgo some of the reflections at the bottom, and point the camera higher to get the boats further off centre, and perhaps more importantly, to get that mast in the middle entirely into the image. The way it's cropped off now seems rather unfortunate.
