Notice how Hassie managed to keep details oin both highlights and shadows under such extreme conditions. Still, what can those lines be that run diagonally from top-left to bottom right on the shadows? Any ideas?
I don't have any prints but only developed film frames which I them scan. I am sure that the marks are throughout the whole image, that is, but are only so visible on the shadows. Now, the question is where did they come form and for that Iw ill have to try a re-scan with different settings in order to see if this was perhaps some unexpected (but well explainable) result of my own scanning. If it was, and I hope it was, then it was my own mistake.
But if it wasn't then it kust have to do with their developing processes. The films that are developed directly in my photo store are really great jobs. All of them. But this kind of film, the Fuji Velvia RVP 100, is sent to external partner of my photo store, and so this might be the reason.
It is definitely not the light leakage since there are many ither photos that do exhinit this behavior of fuzzy lights on the left but don't show such marks. So I am still searching.
Hi Nick, Are the lines in the shadows only on the prints? If so, it might be a problem with the photo paper.
Another thing it could be is a problem with the cleaning and drying of the negatives. Maybe the marks are there throughout the image, but only show up in the darker areas.
I know you had problems with light seals, but I don't think that has anything to do with it.
I see the marks on all four of the images posted today.
