About It should be used as the whiteboard for designing, proposing, describing the DWH project but that team was a bit... well, different! ;-) We would rather use 267 torn pieces of paper for that, but the whiteboard was something else as you can see. So, as the time was passing by we documented the objectives of the project really very very well. ;-) I find it funny on the one hand but also good for its attitude to take things and the own self and "career" a bit less serious. As an image I like it for the chaos that it includes as a version of normality.

Any comments would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot, Yazeed! Now I understand you. Yes, it has been rather random... chaotic, so to speak! ;-)

Cheers!

Yes, I love the random, in many cases. I also do not like things often asymmetric .
Yours Yazeed.

So, with textures you meant the many different shapes and drawings, Yazeed?

Oh yes, of course it is a pipeline!!! What else?? ;-)

Long story, but also a funny one. At that time we used to have many snacks and any other kind of food in the office. We had often our "happy hours" by putting them all on the documents board in the middle of the office, and tranforming the office to some kind of bar. (What office? That was oir bar, man! ;-)) Well, whisky simply belongs to any good bar and so I was assigned the grade of the "whisky supplier". ;-) The good thing is that it wasn't planned - it just happened this way because all guys were more or less at the same wavelength.

They of course noticed the rather quick replacement of half-empty bottles with new ones because me and Andres, another fine guy there, would always take "just another small one" outside the happy hours too. (I wonder when we worked at all! ;-)) So, Andres saw "yet another new bottle" once, and asked me so very innocently: "A new one? Again?" ;-)

That gave Coni the funny idea to draw the flask and the glass standing at the left of it, but then Andres said: "For Nick a glass is too complicated. He needs a dedicated pipeline!!" And so he added that too. As we were the data management team the "pipeline" was rather funny, since we had to make the data-pipelines that connected the other systems with the datadases. I was the guy for data extraction transformation and loading (ETL), which meant that I had to have access to clean and correct data, and so that was my very personal dedicated pipeline. I was salvaged from all other wrong data of the world!! ;-)

BTW, there is much more "coded" stories on this chaos board. The guy at the bottom left is Andres himself in "special" underware and... eating Ozzy Osbourne! Why he did... that's another story for another day. ;-)

Cheers!

That was our Coni, Avi. Quite an intelligent, vivid, funny girl and she had such an affection for Spongebob! ;-) Actually she was the first to start with those things on the whiteboard and we simply followed. It has been the hypothetical cover of our hypothetical CD named: The DWH project. ;-)

Cheers and thanks!

Sometimes funny things can happen all by themselves in offices, it seems.

Thanks a lot, Dave!

Many thanks Yazeed.

Actually more a joke than a seriously meant omage, but what textures do you mean? It's all rather flat and smooth to me... ?:-/

Cheers!
