By exposing the BG correctly and the foreground correctly will bring color balance to the shot. This shot has all the potential and being an outstanding shot.

Hi Alle
Ok, I hope that you take the critique as just that. I am in no way trying to bash your art. Just trying to give you my prespective.
1) The Composition is very good in this shot. Only thing that you need to fix in your presentation is the Horizon line. Remember that the horizon line needs to be completely horizontial. An easy way to tell if it is in the right position is to enlarge your shot and pull the shot down until the horizon line touches the edge of the screen.
In this shot when I pull it down until the edge of the tree line on the left side of the shot touches the edge of the internet browser....you can see that the shot is tilted a lot. If you have photoshop you can correct this rather easily. Using the measuring tool, place the cursor over the edge of the tree line on the left hand side the shot....click and drag the cursor to the right hand side of the shot and release the cursor. You should have a line going along the horizon line. click on rotate canvas and select rotate Arbitrary. then click ok. The canvas should rotate to the desired position.
2) Exposure....
This shot has it all.....what you need to try is this....Expose the background at F16 for about 5-8 Seconds and then take a shot exposing the foreground at F16 for about 20seconds. Then in Photoshop open both of the shots and place the foreground shot over the background shot using the Move Tool. Hold down the shift key click and hold the move tool on the foreground shot and drop it on top of the background shot.....by holding down the shift key while dragging and dropping the shot ontop of the the background shot is will align automatically. The Next step is rather easy. in the layers palette there is a button at the bottom of the layer palette called add layer mask. Click on that....you will see a little white box next to the foreground layer...in the tool palette select the paintbrush tool set the brush hardness to abut 43%. Set you colors to black for the foreground. Next thing you do is to paint away the background part of the picture revealing the properly exposed back ground. if you paint away part of the picture that you didn't want to paint....push the letter x on your keyboard and that will switch the paint color from black to white.....paint over the area that you want to show and remember that painting on a layer mask with black will cover up and reveal the lower layer and painting on it in white will bring back the top layer....TCB in next comment
