I checked out your website and was delighted to find so much valuable information. Thank you for sharing your technique/equipment/set-ups. I find it enlightening that your images are shot with a digital, not the top of the line zillion-megapixel camera that many say is vital to results similar to traditional slrs or medium formats, but simply a 3- and now a 4-megapixel camera (with the addition of various lenses). Some on this site will find that amusing. Your results speak volumes -- it's not about what kind of equipment you have but your creative eye, inquisitive mind and the ability to try and try again. Wonderful results, can't wait to see more!

mark .. welcome to usefilm.. please kindly tell altaf that i refered you here. Now to your picture. When you said you have posted an image of a fly, i was thinking of that fly against white wall. Anyway, macro photography by itself requires a lot patience and art.. The above photography speaks about immense patience you have waiting in the rain to get this shot of the fly. Wisconsin indeed is a great place to look for critters and bugs unlike southern california here. The above shot is crisp, with great details and great colors. I would like to know how narrow is your DOF range. And also, i am guessing you are shooting this bug at a close range, so you are very skilled and adept in not disturbing the bugs as you take these magnificant pictures.. 7/7 for you Mark.. and once again Welcome..
