A very peaceful (tranquil) view. Pity to hear about the story of loss and pain. I do hope you managed to get over it.
But this image is simply beautiful. Lightfall is great and I like your POV. It sounds wonderfull to live at such a romantic place. Nice catching image you share here. Hi Jan,
Prices for river houses really aren't so bad. The main problem here recently ((last 5 yrs.) has been flooding. This house and all future homes that are built have to be 16ft. off the ground because of the flooding.
What has already been built can remain how it is but many houses on the ground do flood when the river does. The beauty and the downfall of this river is all of the many creeks that flow into it...and it truely snakes around from wide to narrow as it climbs the mountain. At the 15 miles marker my X + I had 2 acres. He was a General Contractor too ... so we were building our dream home. It was a 20-30ft. drop so our decks were hanging over the river and that river actually rose up and took almost everything ..... It was un-believable... cattle drowned . etc. We had bought the property for $50,000... it sold for about the same..

Michele -- First off my reaction is that I sure would like one of those homes! What a beautiful setting and my dream has always been to live on the water. Your scenic photo is wonderful and despite the telephone and power lines shows this area off so well. Lovely colors and excellent detail. Well done. Is this area pricey for home owners?
