hey michele, i think the weather is becoming increasingly weird. Hurricanes in New Orleans, snow in California and no snow in the alpes till december! Also in Holland it is much to warm for the time of the year. If sealevel keeps rising, half of the Netherlands can be under water. Luckily i live in the higher regions more towards germany, since i moved last year. I hope the global warming can stabilize, but i don't think that will happen now, especialy now the economies in China and India are growing. So not a good theory from me, sorry.

Hey there....Been trying to comment on your portfolio but having connection problems as a major ice storm moves into our area......We are hoping it stays just north enough to not do us much harm! It looks like we may miss the brunt of the storm.....We shell see.
Good shot here Michele. I think yes the snow make things look cleaner.....But I do not like snow!
Remminds me of the green eggs and ham thing you know!! lol
I do love the photo however and think it is very well exposed. Very very well in fact! This is not the easiest photo to try and meter and you have done a top notch job! ( Keep in mind that this is all coming from someone that does not really know a lot about all this ) but I do know what I like and what is easy and hard for me! hehe
This is a hard shot and you performed it perfectly
Now to address the composition........:)

Michele in short this is a wonderful image taken in not the easiest conditions and you got it!
Hot damn! Maybe if the tree were place alittle off center it would make a rating of 7+++ But would you take a 7++ just the same? Yes, I know you would!

Very nice image, very good clarity EVEN AT THE SNOW TEXTURE!!! Some spots on the sky area has been there, very good, 6....lol....I like to have a golf round now there....hahaha...think how easy is to find the ball after the shot!

hi michele, nice picture. I have to agree with the tree being too much in the centre, but what makes this picture great to look at is the balance between the bright cool blue of the sky and the bright white of the snow. Its nice to see snow for that matter. Here in Holland we are having the warmest winter in like 300 years, so no where near snow whatsoever. :(

Come on, girl, get that new software loaded for the new camera... That old camera is really hit and miss. This shot is fine. The old one seems to work okay in good light but a whole lot of noise in dark light...

When you take the slope of the tree trunks and the imbalance between the background trees on the left versus the right, I think the trees in the forground are in just the right spot. But then I'm no artist, I just know what I like :)
