You are right now we get many holidays coming soon and believe me I did enjoy my holiday in Ca. so much - many days of very hot weather that I do love ...I was in northern California tho and did not make it to the 'Silicon Valley' this trip or I would've taken pictures for you there - had I only known you would like it :((

I am not real sure I know how to answer the question about a polarizer :(
I have a polarized lens I try to use for bright sun-light - but that it all I am aware of (?) I know I should read and study more - I am guilty of NOT doing that for sure and I appreciate your help very much--- would this be the answer (?) lol!!!
Thank You so much for the well wishes about Ca. It was great - lots of sunshine and now I am back into the darkness and rain of Oregon- BUT it is very green here :)

Very nicely composed with great exposure control dear Michele. Are you using a polarizer on your camera? I am curious just because you can help your sky be a bit more blue by just moving the polarizer around your lens. Just a thought :)

I am not a winter person and don't like the rain and cold weather - we share this love for summer time and many other things :)

Fantastic shot Michele!!GREAT reflections,a beautiful sharp and clear shot!!The lighting is amazing as well...but I have to agree with Srna I don't like the end of summer either.Autumn is nice with all the beautiful colors but you know that also rain is coming and that I don't like:(!
But your capture is stunning...and it looks like a great sunny day!!

I do agree about the 'abstract' way - I think I have fallen into this way very much -haha!! I like shapes of the entire image ----- it is a bit strange sometimes how I view a subject - but I am so happy You like it -

I also know that with the end of summer brings many colors for the photographer soooooooo take lots of pictures to share with us Ok ? I will return in about one week or longer - going to Ca. for a holiday :))

For me it is more sad than exciting ... so hard for me to say good bye summer, welcome autumn, whatever others think about me !!!
Beautifully composed my Angel with so beautiful reflections, colors, mood, yes, so peaceful and tranquil ... fine depth and wonderful presentation ... but can not stand these rainyyyyy days in Belgrade !!! :(((

Beautiful shor and I always like the shape that made by a piece of land on the water... the shapes that made here goes a bit to the...abstract way!!!!!! I like that, end of summer... lol... that means happiness to me! :-D lol... Lovely Shot,perfectly composed with reflections.
I think both the mood you talking about depicted in your picture perfectly. The coming season shows its presence abouve the water level and the other has its place under the water level with its smooth reflections.
