This is so beautiful Ani, I too am happy that you could salvage this lovely image to share with us.
The charcoal and colour work suit this perfectly, and you have still retained that glint in her eye. Perfect work and another stunner from your hoard of models, very soulful eyes!

I hope so too... it sometimes has a hissy fit, but usually within a couple of days it sorts out... don't know what's going on with it!!! Still, if mail would be my greatest problem, I would have no problems whatsoever.... or at least the others would pale to insignifance :)

Actually this photo did have a flaw... it was not with the actual shot, which I am happy with... rather a problem in the lab during developing!!!There were some odd marks (on the entire roll of film sadly, so all the prints came out with the same "horrors").
After extensive cloning, I was still not pleased with the way it looked. I did not want to lose the image, as I feel the model's expresion is so sweet, so I added a few filters and a hint of colour. I am so pleased I could salvage this one and that you like it!

A beautiful portrait you started with Aniko. And you've done very well here presenting a photo image with a difference. I think that's the key - use these filters to make a good image different and/or better and not to try and salvage a bad photograph. Great work as always.

I always loved portraiture work of this kind, something I seen my brother working very hard to achieve.
To me this portrait is of very great photographic elements, exposure, details, contrast and tone along with the way it been presented in, on here are all perfect elements, plus the noise added made it so creative and so pleasant to view.
