About A detail from my old Broadway guitar.
Shot under ordinary tungsten and fluro lighting. No PS work other than basic sharpening and a slight crop from right side etc. The dust spots are on the guitar, as are the white paint specs (at left on guitar.)

You're Sweet Onie!

I love your family memories... :)

This guitar has been in my "family" for a long time, but every mark on it has come from whoever owned it before... It was a salvage... the previous "owners" were doing their best to destroy it by using it as a cricket bat!!! :(

It sounds horrible now, sadly, so I have never heard it play well... still, it matters to me as an old relic, and even though I hang it on the wall slightly neglectfully and allow it to collect dust etc etc... it is a treasure :) And we SAVED IT fom certain death! :)

My guitars that are still played are in pretty good shape, considering... I keep those in guitar cases and they are dust and practically scratch free. They just need new strings... I have 4 such functioning guitars... the first, was a Christmas gift to me at age 10... :)

Thanks again Dear Onie!

Hugs~
Ani :)

Ani... :) Something very warming about a guitar... I like that there is dust and paint, means it is part of the family... :)

It gets cherished when new, little fingers tweeking and thruming the strings... not often the chords or melody make sense... ~~GRIN~~ and then a teenager strums out the woes and angst of those learning years of love and life... As the years pass, it becomes that thing *Shall I throw in the guitar!* as you tootle off for the weekend to the beach or camping on the river with friends... recieving the odd scratch or chip along the way...

It then becomes part of a young family where it is used for lullabys to silly dittys, to make the kids laugh, or for the adults having a few wines and the odd bawdy sing'a'long... ~~GRIN~~

...and next, it sits in the corner gathering dust, ocasionally being tuned while reminiscing, The return of little fingers, grandkids, pulling at the strings or *turning the knobs* (LOL ...knew there was a reason for that broken string)...

Lovely, warm mellow tones and tunes Ani... :)

Thanks for the memories... :)

Onie...

Many thanks Al!

I enjoy shooting with available light. This is the actual light in that room of my house. A tungsten 60 watt globe and a fluro much further away from the guitar. (The lighting from the fluro shows slightly as greenish to right of frame.)

I'm pleased you like the glow on this image :)

Warmest Wishes,
Aniko :)
