Sandra: You can't know how nice it is to me to hear comments like yours. I find that people who have looked back through my photos . . . as you have . . . and mention a specific one draw my attention to an earlier work and say something even more about the photo than when it was put up. I very much appreciate it! :)

So many amazing photos...this one caught my eye because os the vividness of the colour of the flowers...finding the bee was a bonus...and you took it more for the bee! Lovely photos!

Looks fine to me whatever works. Excellent Marco. I like the pollen sacks on the bee for they are full.

Thanks again Steve . . . Oh for a faster shutter here to capture the wings . . . difficult enough in flight but to accomplish it (in focus) and still lose the wings . . . oh well - That would have required a different aperture too and who had time? Thanks again for the comments!

Thanks so much for the encouragement here Nick . . . I almost didn't post this one since I wasn't happy about the shutter speed not freezing the wings . . . but, as you said . . . he was goind airborne and the background with that fact was so pleasing to me . . . Truly, this is what gave me the idea for the panorama Bee World. Thanks for stopping by!

There are many photos of bees arounf flowers, Doyle, but this one is really something special!
That little pilot is just about to get airborn, on the jump so to speak, the motors are running and the gear is just off ground. You captured that moment when gravity ceases to exist and the sympathetic creature gets weightless!
Then, the bright colors and great details of the flowers, distributed wildly over the scene, make the composition to almost a little song about wild life in all its beauty and mystery.
A wonderful moment!

Thanks Mary . . . Next time an even faster shutter speed might freeze the wings during flight . . . (always seem to be thinking of the next shot) . . . Thanks so much for you comments and support.

Laura: I know what you mean . . . (about too many flowers being distracting) . . . I just thought they were to lovely to justify a tighter crop and since the shutter speed did not freeze the bee's wings I thought I'd leave them in to give the overall beauty a chance to shine. This is the shot that made me think of how the world looks from the bee's view and was, consequently, the inspiration for the panorama. Thanks for commenting.

Nice colors and lighting. There are too many flowers IMO. They distract my attention from the bee. (Of course I have to admit that I am easily distracted lol)

Thanks Nacho . . . I was initially concerned that the filter wouldn't function properly for my needs, but I'm pleased with it . . . though I still need a macro lens I think.
