Wow! Intense colour Doyle - The only thing that not cool (or rahter hot!) is the telegraph lines! Otherwise really great - especially the perfectly exposed streetlight! Regards.

Hi Todd!
Nope, this is unrelated to the fires. I had such a brilliant sunrise and NO wide angle lens . . . just the 105mm Micro . . . so I shot the most brilliant orange I could find. I attached a screen shot of the untouched RAW image . . . isolating the orange made it seem unreal, but I didn't even need to crop this one!!

Yes, Dani, I am indeed! Even when I'm off work I'm up well before the sun. The streetlights are parking lot lights. This is completely unrelated to the fires which are all contained where I am now. It's purely the sky!
I'd have gone to the fires but the wife had a different thought on that subject. Thanks for commenting. :)

Ah Doyle you're another one of us poor fools who have to be up that early for work...Lol.
I have to say I'm jealous, the sunrises around me arent as vivid and colorful as this. I love the streetlights in there too.
Are the fires making for any interesting photo op's at the mo? Bushfire season will be starting soon over here, depending on where you are it can get a bit scary but I love it at the same time. Nature at its best and worst if you ask me.

Well John, I'm up at 4:00 a.m. pretty much every day. Have been for years. On the other hand, I go to bed earlier and earlier as time goes by! Halloween night didn't last to 10:30 p.m. for us . . . I figure if I work it VERY slowly, eventually I won't have to get up at all!!
Anyway, here in LA it's a great way to avoid horrid traffic! :P

Just to let us know that you get to your office before sunrise (or is it that you work through TO sunrise?!) Pleased to hear this is "like" fire in the sky - the reports from your part of the world suggest that it has been all too real in recent weeks. Wonderful colours - hardly ever get to see this time of day myself...
