Hi Andrej, no I'm not regular here anymore. Most of my effort goes into pay sites where I'm making some money selling images. Doesn't cover the cost of my equipment yet but I'm hopeful for the future. 1 eV is one exposure value, a doubling of light into the image. This is +1 on the compensation on your Canon 350D. I've missed my real friends here (yourself included)plus the brilliant shots of a few people. Keep in touch. Regards, Graham.

HI Graham;
well I must say I feel pretty much the same way... It is not the same as it was... I miss a lot of my friends who were uploading on this site regularly, the material coming up daily is huge and the comments are more or less Beautiful, Wonderful no matter how the photo looks like. And since you do not write 20 or 30 times a day wonderful or beautiful your images ends up with 2 or 3 comments per image... pretty sad I guess. I also noticed you are not regular anymore either!? Do you participate on some other site? I do, so I have less time for UF; we have two very quality sites in Slovenia so I am spending some time on them too. The shot is digital, yes, and you were not wrong about it... I forgot to type new settings in as previous remained set to analog SLR; Reason is that on other two sites EXIF is uploaded automatically with JPEG image. The shot is actually taken with EOS 350D, on ISO100 and 1/1250s (7.1) on 10mm focal lenght! Thanks for your as usual most appreciated comment although I am not sure that I exactly know what +1eV means. Keep in touch!
Best wishes, Andrej

Hi Andrej, I'm amazed your still here on this site. Thought I'd put one up to see what happened. Just a number of bland remarks about what I'd expected. This site has not been the same since the major change about a year ago. Your mountain shots are still good but I thought you'd gone digital befoe I left. I like this shot the snow and aerials work well with the guy rope taking the eye into the image. Couple of minor problems, the snow is a little grey, +1eV on the compensation would have cured this. The auto-exposure adjusts for 18% grey so an increase in eV is necessary. The path on the left leads the eye out of the image but seems to come back further on. Maybe moving a bit to the left would have cured the problem. Regards, Graham.

Hi Andrej, good to hear from you again! I wish you all the best for 2006 too. I like your thoughts, but also this shot, a beakon in the vast, empty landscape. The line created by the suspension wire adds a very strong feel of depth, leading the eye towards the antenna. A bit more contrast could probably make the antenna stand out more, but the freezing temperatures are quite tangible. I like this one a lot. Very strong photo and composition!
Cheers,
Hugo
