Looks similar to the abandoned farmhouses and barns at Mormon Row in Grand Teton national park. These were built during the early 1800s, late 1700s and later abandoned when the land was found to be poor for farming (which helped save it for preservation of course).
Interesting shot, not quite how I would have (given the option, I don't know this location) composed it though. I'd have preferred the mountain in the background to be off to the right preferably, yielding a less even distribution of mountains and sky along the skyline. As it is the almost even ballance of sky on left and right is somewhat disturbing, detracting from an otherwise very good scenic.
hi, is this inside Yosemite National Park?...that would explain why nobody lives there...there may be housing for park service employees out there like some nat'l parks have,but this structure looks old.....beautiful scenic during the magic light hour....nice presentation,too,Amit regards,gayle
