very nice composition, I'd add a bit of saturation cause I think is a bit overexposed. Overall a very good composition. regards

It is cold water the effect was created by dropping the potato into the water and capturing it as it hit the bottom.

What a beautiful landscape !!
The Land where the Elves lives.
You know, in Hungary the Fairy lives in the wind or in some old oak trees. You can never see them just feel..
But there, in Wales, must be an elf sit behind that great tree on the left side of your wonderful photo.
Best Regards
Rosan

Being a former clarinet player, I would really like to enjoy this more. I think the main issue here is that there is way to much glare off of the keys and the lack of interest in the fingering.

Unfortunately, unlike a flute of sax, the clarinet doesn't look good being played (at least in photographs this close), even an oboe looks better photographed this way than a clarinet (I think it has to do with the greater number of keys and the visual delicacy of the instrument). I think the best shot for a clarinet would be to put it on a piece of sheet music on a table or piano and let it go with that. Soft lighting and perhaps play around with the DoF.

I give you credit for trying this. I took a look through your portfolio here, very nice work overall.

You have done very well with sharpness and exposure with this shot. Compositionally, I would suggest that you be a bit daring and perhaps consider cropping this a different way to bring a new perspective? I have attached one idea, but there are many options. Just a suggestion though. thx!

Oddly enough - I bought a fish tank today - £10.99 at Dobbies garden centre. I could drop in a few carrots and we could make soup!
Warm regards, Sally
