MT-24EX Macro Twin Lite. But an MR14EX or MR24EX may give a softer light...

Hi Bryan,
What flash did you used for this shot?
MR14EX, MR24EX or the ring flash.
I will appreciate any info that you can provide.

Thanks, Kambiz - I will need to look it up (you are most likely right though). There are so many different varieties of flies...

Beautiful sky and great wide angle dof shot of wine country. Love how the clouds seem to be streaming out of the notch in the mountains.

Yes,but the new usefilm now is only 750pix instead of 800pix.
and the 1200x600 for panoramic doesnt work.
The website is more narrow than the 1024x768 screen.
so mabe it works by clicking on the image to show a bigger screen like they did now on the comments attachment.

Haha, pet, Bryan. He's looking a bit sad, but it's a great portrait. Very well standing out from the background.

Kind regards, Markus

Thanks, Guido. 800x600 still seems to be a reasonable size for uploads and downloads as it quite easily keeps the file size small (between 50K and 150K) and fits nicely on most peoples screens. When I get a faster internet connection, I may think of uploading larger pictures.

Thanks, Larry. I don't think it is trained, although it was quite tame and relatively used to people. I put it in as "pet" because it was in captivity under rehabilitation and there was no more specific section for this.

Wonderful capture of the drama in the landscape. You are one of the people who have motivated me to buy a wide angle zoom... Andree

Thanks, Pooriya. From the other comment, I would have thaught less exposure (esp at the bottom) to make it more of a silhouette...

I like the way you can just make out the second fly in the background - he looks like he's spying on the one in the foreground!
Lovely detail - I can't get this close with my macro lens
