MT-24EX Macro Twin Lite. But an MR14EX or MR24EX may give a softer light...

Thanks, Kambiz - I will need to look it up (you are most likely right though). There are so many different varieties of flies...

Amazing sharpness and zero DOF here. I wish there was a little more DOF, but can't complain with a shot like this. Apparently a normal cheep teleconverter (eg 3x) will also do an excellent job at making a 3:1 (in this example) macro lens out of a 1:1 macro lens without loosing focal distance. The effective apperture will also loose about 3 stops (in this specific case). I plan to try with a 2x TC sometime...

Thanks, Guido. 800x600 still seems to be a reasonable size for uploads and downloads as it quite easily keeps the file size small (between 50K and 150K) and fits nicely on most peoples screens. When I get a faster internet connection, I may think of uploading larger pictures.

You are definately making the most of your wide angle lens. Another good and interesting shot. Well done.

Thanks, Larry. I don't think it is trained, although it was quite tame and relatively used to people. I put it in as "pet" because it was in captivity under rehabilitation and there was no more specific section for this.

A very interesting statue, Andree, and a nice perspective. Ah I see you got a 12-24mm lens - good choice (specifically looked after your comment).

Thanks, Pooriya. From the other comment, I would have thaught less exposure (esp at the bottom) to make it more of a silhouette...
