I am not an expert on portrait shots myself but my thoughts are that the background is a little too distracting. Overall the lighting and colours look good to my eye but the model does not look too relaxed in this shot and as a result looks contrived which I am sure it is. I am sure you will receive more constructive comments from others that are more adept at this type of photogaphy.

Captured the rich colouring of this bird very nicely. Possibly a little different angle would present even a little better angle on this intriguing looking bird. Nice work.

I like the contrast in between the sky and the building. The b&w tones in the building create a very moody and stark contrast with the sky and this perspective creates all of the emphasis in the right places.

Thank you all. It was a one time opportunity and had I the opportunity to do it again I would have shot in portrait mode as to get more of the posts in the shot. By doing it in landscape I have had to crop quite a bit from the right side but still has given me very good results in as large as 13 x 13 and the camera store has done it as large as 16 x 16 without and loss in the image.

Very nice work and if it wasn't for the title I would have wondered about the lack of space in front/

Very nice sandhill crane and pretty nice detail for the combo you were using. How far away were you?

Nice colour, reflections and water detail. The composition seems a little titled would suggest you straighten a bit. The crop is a little tight on top imo.

Very nice shot Jim, great action with good colour and detail. I have yet to capture a gull with such clarity while you and so many others can.

Very nicely done. The leaves appear a little dark too me but as no others have commented can only assume it is my monitor.

The colour and composition is good. I like how you have captured his shadow giving even a better perspective of height. As mentioned it could be somewhat sharper but probably would still make a decent print.

Good timing! I might have composed a little differently so that there was more space on the left to give a sense that he was making this delicate maneouver for a reason.

Very nice capture of such magnificent animals. The colour and detail is very good and from what appears to be a fair distance considering the lens combo used.

Great capture Roberto. I love these birds and I have many on my pbase site but very few in flight such as this. Another reason why I want to get the 100-400 L IS. The detail around the Heron is very good and make this shot for me. Very nice.

Very nice work, excellent colours and the green in the water adds so much to this shot.
Very dramatic, nicely taken and presented.

Colours are very good, possibly just a tad over saturated in the red of the tank. The contrasts of colours is very good, the oil slick, the flotsam and the boat all work well together. Perhaps if the piling could have been eliminated as it slightly distracts and pulls the eye to it. All in all a very nice composition though.

What a beautiful golden glow on this image. Did you use a filter or is this all natural

Very beautiful image. The only thing that could have made it just a bit better imo would have been if the cloud had not been so foreboding but of that we have little control.

Very good compostition and a much different perspective on the fall leaf theme. Lots of different textures in this B&W version, very nicely done. I believe this could make a nicely framed image of a nature abstract.

Great colour and detail. Its a shame the branches block out what could be a nice looking building in the background.

I like the moodiness, the b&w works very nicely but just not too sure that the cross adds too much to the picture. Is there some symbolism behind the cross or is it just a road marker?

Beautiful work Mark! Colour and detail are fantastic and you captured it so well there is no distortion what so ever just detail.

Nice capture with good colour and reflections. You caught her in a moment of intense concentration which can even be seen from the back view. Cute capture of the slipping drawers

Beautiful capture! The lighting in this shot plays from so many different angles and works wonderfully. I wonder how much time and patience goes into a capture like this, can't just be luck, very nicely done.

The colours are good maybe just a little too dark, could be brightened a tad. I think I would have cropped out the angling branch to the left myself just to tighten the composition a bit and remove its distraction. Nicely done.
