The only thing you can do now Bill is go buy one of those reflector's to bounce light on a subject outdoors other than that it's all choice and preference.

This photo is wonderful and perfect! I'm reading Terry's comment above, and I disagree about background. Personally I think this background is great, and gives a nice mood. DOF is great too! About her expression... She does look a little bit nervous behind that smile, but I think that is so natural in this young age. She looks beautiful, and you've taken a wonderful photo of her!

I am not an expert on portrait shots myself but my thoughts are that the background is a little too distracting. Overall the lighting and colours look good to my eye but the model does not look too relaxed in this shot and as a result looks contrived which I am sure it is. I am sure you will receive more constructive comments from others that are more adept at this type of photogaphy.
