Janet,
Yet another creative capture. I must say I favor the color photo more. I just love the contrast in the red and Green and the DOF is just perfect. Nice touch with the camera tilt. It gives it that much more personality.
Bravo.

Damion

Janet,
I know its been awhile. Life keeping me busy. I have plenty of images to post, just no time to get online. This one is my fav out of your latest post (of course your others are fantastic..this one just catches my eye more). This just can't get any more natural than it is. There is such a purity in her expression and pose. I'll have to admit I almost love portraits more when the subject is able to portray this calm relax expression. Excellent job with the composision, and lighting of course is PERFECT. Incredible as alway Janet.
Regards,
Damion

Janet,
Very cute photo. I love the simple details like this. Except in regards to your title I almost want to see all "4 legs". It was the first thing I counted when I opened it. Otherwise..darling lil' toes!!

Janet,
I like the title to this one. Great extreme shallow DOF. Obviously wide open I presume. Color is fantastic, composition makes this one for sure a looker. Great job. Nice to see you stepping out in to other things again. Need to do that more myself again. Bought a Canon 1d Mark II N about a week ago....was so excited to learn this new camera.....it never turned on!!! Right out of the box...never worked!! Should see the camera this Tuesday again after repair.

Janet,
Lovely and adorable shot. Very creative. I must say it has a bit more contrast than I'm used to seeing in your work, but it is still flattering for this shot. I definately know where to go for a hot bowl of soup and spagetti O's!!

Pat,
Truly a beautiful portrait. I love the soft colors and those EYES!!! The subject is just adorable too! I think personally I like this color version over the b&w. Just preference in this case.
The "stare" just make this photo so innocent.

Pat,
I'm so much of a shallow DOF guy, I just love this!! The expression of the child is great and the lighting is wonderful. Great B&W conversion and the compo and expression on the foreground subject just adds warmth and personality to the photos. You do such lovely work!!

I work with Lyle McCullough and he's told me alot about your stuff. This photo is my favorite so far of what I've seen. The photo has such a simple look and she looks so pure. Excellent lighting and use of light. Depth of field is perfect and the PS work is done with grace and is very tastful. You do amazing work and you inspire me to photograph more children.

Timeless shot. I feel like I'm in the 1800's. The lighting is soft, pleasing and the dramatic shadows are very flattering. Fine, fine photography here!

Janet,
Its amazing what they will call "friends" or make pets! Mine had a pet fly and ant this past summer. The fly was katy and the ant was...well....Anty! Forntuately she wasn't too attached. Lovely shot....great area of focus and I like the bit of grain in the shot..wether is was intentional or not! As alwasy wonderfully smooth tones!

Robert,
Out of this series, this is my favorite. I think its because of the colors. I just love colors! They are so deep and rich...almost looks like a colorful rust with your background, which I'm sure was one of your objectives. You definately create some great art!
Bravo,
Damion

Steven,
Probably one of the prettiest portraits of a cat I've ever seen. Beautiful light and eyes to match it. Such sweet and personal shot. I am a cat lover and own one myself and can't help but admire this quite a bit. Fantastic photo.

Tina,
Your composition, background, and DOF are perfect here. Such a fantastic portrait. I love the way you caught her hair in the middle of a down step to create the "lift" or "blown" look in her hair. Bravo!!

Robert,
Very creative capture. Took me a second to figure it out, but I love the rotation. Its amazing how if you crop an image or rotate it, how it changes things so dramatically. I think you took a very comment everyday thing we see and turned it into art! Love the tone conversion and the contrast in this. Fantastic photo.

Janet,
Hard to believe that was your first camera. Are you sure you liked photography back then? Looks like the camera was hardly used! Great series...love the color in the center and the eyes on the right....just ends the series perfectly.
Fantastico!!

Danielle,
Great expression you have caught. Makes me smile just looking at him. Your depth of field is perfect. The 50mm f/1.4 is one of my favorite portrait lenses..especially with people that don't mind a camera close to their faces!! They should put an "L" after this lens because it can be such a sharp lens. Your exposure and WB are perfect. Fine job.

Damion

Joe,
What a fun picture. Love the expression, seems very natural, and I love the pearls. They just bring a "timeless" feeling to the photos. I like the lighting in this situation...it draws the focus toward her and nothing else.
Well done,

Janet,
You inspire me to take so many more photos of my daughter. I would have never thought of this. Have you seen the work of the Usefilm member "Christy McCullough". She has work that would absolutely inspire you as well.
Thanks for sharing your precious moments with us all.
