About: My photographic training was courtesy of the U.S. Navy. Our cameras were 4x5 Speed Graphics and we considered 2? x 2? Rollieflex and Hasselblad to be ?miniature? cameras. I learned the photographic and darkroom process from the ground up. After my hitch in the Navy was completed, I worked for six years as a commercial photographer before moving on to other things.
My photography has been on and off since that time. In 1996, my interest was rekindled with my discovery of Photoshop and how it and the computer could compliment traditional photography. I believe that Photoshop is just a tool, as are lenses, filters, and my old darkroom tricks.
I am ?old school? in my choice of cameras in that I still use a manual camera. Although, price and performance of digital cameras are beginning to come together at a point where I am considering one for the near future.
