This one has grown on me Sissy. I figured it would. Still think I'd crop a little off the top, but that's just my thing. Nice colors. Your camera did good on this one! Suz

My husband and I use to own it but closed it nearly 5 years ago. Now my sister and I are going to reopen a cafe there in a couple of months. Just thought it would be quite a coincidence if you had been here! Kathy

I really liked my S1, just too slow for what I do... Also, not a wide enough or narrow enough depth of field for most of my work... But it was the reason I got serious in photography. :) I don't know about the S2, I know on the S1, I got consistantly better pictures by setting the EV to -2/3.
I think I've heard of it, but have never been there. Good stuff? :)

Hi Klifton, Thanks for your nice words...again! I do like the S2 IS...but I have a lot to learn. My sister has a Digital Rebel and that's the camera that I would have liked to purchase, but it's a little pricey for right now. This one will be fine during this learning process. If you know Deming, did you ever go to a place called Carol's Coffee Cup? Kathy

Thanks for taking a look, Ciprian, and for your comment. The background is just the trees with the early morning sun filtering through. I'm quite a novice, so if there is a way to keep that focused with the flower so close I don't know how to do that. I tried to add a bit more saturation, but didn't like the result. Thanks so much for taking the time. Regards, Kathy

Very good composition indeed, but the background bothers me a bit, I'm not quite sure what it it.
Maybe I would have liked the colours a bit more saturated.

Absolutely gorgeous job, Kathy! Deming is nice too. ;)
Are you enjoying your camera? I started out (well, seriously) on an S1 IS. :) I had an S10 (from the late 90's) before that, then finally stepped to the D70 in digital. :)
